Empowering Hypnobirthing Courses and Doula Support

Hello lovely!

I'm Charlotte, Doula, Hypnobirthing Antenatal Teacher, mum of two and all-around birth-nerd based in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

In Group and Private one-to-one Hypnobirthing Antenatal courses I take expectant parents from "Clueless" to "Confident," and "Terrified" to "Empowered" with evidence-based information, tangible skills and a compassion-first approach to birth preparation.

I’ve been helping clients prepare for birth since I completed my training in 2021, with my online and in-person courses getting 5-star reviews on Google and lovely feedback from parents and families. In 2024 I completed my Doula certification and added Doula Support to my offering (after unofficially providing this to my clients for years) This means pregnant women and parents-to-be, like you, can receive further nurturing support throughout your pregnancy, birth and early parenting journey from me, if you wish.

Positive Birth Leeds Hypnobirthing courses are packed with useful information and practical tips to help you mentally and physically prepare for your baby's birth. I work with families preparing for birth in all settings; including home birth, birth centre, hospital labour ward and caesarean birth.

I offer a range of services Hypnobirthing and Doula services to suit your individual needs, both privately and in groups, including:

I'm passionate about childbirth and supporting you and your birth partner, to feel informed, confident and empowered for your birth. I engage both partners in every session, with my informed, evidence-based, down-to-earth approach.

My training & qualifications:

I'm a self-confessed birth nerd and following my initial Hypnobirthing teacher training in 2021 I have most recently completed my Doula training as well as becoming a Breastfeeding Peer supporter for Leeds Bosom Buddies. I continue to further my birth knowledge through reading, podcasts and CPD courses that enable me to support your birth preparation and beyond into parenthood. I'm fully insured and FEDANT (Federation of Antenatal Educators) accredited.

COMPLETED:

Every course I take helps me to tailor the Positive Birth Leeds Hypnobirthing Antenatal courses with practical, up-to-date and evidence-based information and to support parents preparing for all kinds of birth.

I have been invited by John Lewis and Baby Week Leeds to speak about Hypnobirthing and the Doula support role with parents-to-be at their regular and annual events in Leeds.

What exactly is Hypnobirthing anyway?

The name 'Hypnobirthing' sounds a bit airy-fairy, but it is actually evidence-based and logical birth preparation education teaching you the science of birth, birth mindset, breathing and relaxation skills and tips for making informed decisions during pregnancy and for birth.

The techniques I share, and you then practice, will teach your body how to develop automatic responses to instinctively trigger deep relaxation. And when you relax this helps your baby relax too.

As far as body conditioning training goes, this is as soothing and empowering as it gets!

Hypnobirthing skills can be used to achieve a positive birth experience in any setting, be it a Caesarean birth, in a hospital setting or at a homebirth. The courses are open to you and your partner, after all this is a family affair!

This is about empowering you to build trust and confidence in your body and your birth choices, deciding what is right for you and what your own personal route of least stress is.

"The sessions were relaxed, varied and interactive and we learnt so much. I hadn't known much about Hypnobirthing before we started but it all made sense with Charlotte's guidance."
